Learning
It is a good time of the day, both kids are asleep! It has been a while since my last posting, the kids are growing and changing so fast. Tate is crawling now, he mostly does the belly scoot but at times crawls on his knees as well. He moves pretty quickly, I will post some video of that soon. He also goes from his belly to a sitting position. He is nine months old, and as of last week is 20.10 lbs and 28 inches (50th percentile for both). He and Nina interact a lot now, she can get him to clap, spit, and smile on command, which she loves. In the car they talk a lot, I love to just quietly observe them. Nina continues to learn and grow, she is a happy little girl and very interactive. Sean tore his MCL playing soccer and is in a knee brace for a couple of months, hopefully no surgery will be needed. We are missing Mom who is in India and looking forward to her return. Tate is getting over an ear infection, but is sleeping well again at night, he is desperate to get to bed by 6:15 since he doesn't nap well during the day. Nina is a challenge to get down for a nap these days, there is so much more that she would rather be doing! Our bedtime routine for Nina used to be so efficient, but lately she insists on doing everything "by myself" so it takes twice as long. Sean is much more patient with that process than I am, but it is so exciting to watch her learn to do so many things on her own. She is crazy about Dora these days, she got a Dora poster and DVD for Valentine's Day and wants to watch it every evening.
